The move will transform the media company’s multiple, disparate workflows, uniting production and media assets under the powerful Dalet Galaxy Media Asset Management (MAM) and Workflow Orchestration platform, and provide a flexible and agile framework to adjust workflows and operations as business demands evolve.

“Dalet takes a global approach to building the media enterprise, transforming the overall business with an agile platform, in which broadcasters and content producers can infinitely scale operations, augmenting services to best serve and engage diverse audiences,” says Frederic Roux, VP of Sales, Americas, Dalet.

A leading content creation company with premier assets in television, radio, out-of-home advertising and digital media, the North American media giant owns dozens of local television stations; operates a couple hundred radio music channels and websites; delivers video streaming services; and operates a multi-channel network. Faced with an increasingly rigid video production arrangement, in which workflows and key infrastructure were replicated in a siloed setup across multiple locations, the broadcaster undertook an extensive procurement process for a technology and development partner that would help them migrate to an interconnected workflow, allowing them to consolidate systems, centralize media assets and enhance collaboration across locations.

Roux comments, “We bring extensive experience architecting enterprise workflows and managing large-scale deployments in distributed environments. The Dalet Professional Services team, which will be deeply involved in this long-term project, is especially adept with change management and training as well as the approach required to execute on a project of this magnitude.”  Dalet will work closely with the media giant all along this transformative journey, from installation design to the multi-year deployment, maximizing business agility and operational freedom at every step.

The resulting state-of-the-art workflow will offer all locations a federated, centralized content repository natively accessible via Dalet Galaxy’s user-friendly production and distribution tools. Dalet Galaxy will make all assets seamlessly available to various in-house systems connected through its advanced Web API and to Adobe Premiere Pro CC editors, which are integral to craft editing workflows, through Dalet Xtend. The friction-free browser-based workflow will provide faster, better content production and easier distribution for broadcast via Dalet Brio, web publishing via a CMS and posts to social media networks.

The enterprise implementation also includes the Dalet Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery solution. The mirrored system will offer a real-time replication and failover in case of a sudden or deliberate main system shutdown.
