The SLED-4K Live encoder reduces the necessary IP streaming bandwidth to bit rates compatible with real-life applications and existing distribution networks (12-20Mbps range). Full video frame processing is employed to avoid visible tile artefacts. Video quality is optimized for the extreme requirements of satellite and terrestrial Broadcast applications, including demanding content types such as live sports.

Built-in redundancy during live operation is supported through ability to swap between multiple blades on the fly. There is also an option for Temporal Scalability (SVC) for compatibility with the some first generation already existing 4K STBs.

The SLED-4K appliance is built-on a scalable and field upgradable software distributed architecture on CPU’s, with possible evolutions to HDR (12-bit) and HFR (100/120 fps).

An appliance for Live HEVC encoding in HD/Full-HD is also available as SLED-HD.

UHD-Play is an innovative and affordable 4K baseband player with quad 3G-SDI outputs, for pristine uncompressed video quality in 4:2:2, 10-bit, at up to 60fps. This product is compatible with multi file formats and provides a perfect alternative source to a live 4K feed offering greater flexibility and lower costs for UHD trials. Moreover, UHD-Play embeds an HD/Full-HD to Ultra HD upscaler after file ingest.

UHD-Play is an essential tool for any Ultra HD Proof of Concept field trial, encoder and other 4K equipment testing and also uncompressed Ultra HD play-out head-end applications.
